Train your ability to quickly identify notes and chord shapes on the guitar fretboard through regular practice.
š® How to Play
- A note or chord position will be highlighted on the fretboard
- Choose the correct name from the answer buttons below
- Correct answers increase your score; incorrect ones let you try again
āļø Game Modes & Settings
Click the āļø button in the top bar to access settings:
- Notes Mode: Practice identifying individual notes
- Triads Mode: Practice identifying chord types and inversions
- Fret Range: Set minimum and maximum frets to practice
- Strings: Choose which strings to include in practice
- Note Types: Select which notes to practice (naturals, sharps, etc.)
- Triad Types: Practice major, minor, diminished, or augmented triads
šµ Circle of Fifths & Note Preferences
Click the šµ button to open the Circle of Fifths diagram:
- Notes highlighted in red have enharmonic equivalents (e.g., CāÆ/Dā)
- Click these notes to set your preferred notation (sharps or flats)
- Your choices affect how notes are displayed throughout the app
š Audio Features
- Press Spacebar or click the š button to hear the current note/chord
- Audio helps reinforce your visual learning with aural recognition
āØļø Keyboard Shortcuts
- Spacebar - Play the current note or chord
- S - Toggle settings menu
š Progress Tracking
Your score is saved automatically between sessions. The reset button lets you start fresh.
š Display Options
- Click the š/š button to toggle between light and dark themes
- The app will remember your preference for future sessions
